I have a john deere 450c dozer that doesn't seem to have any power moving forward or backwards.
During the first few minutes after start up, dozer will move forward and backward, but as soon as there is a load driveline stops moving. If it isn't an automatic ,the most probable cause is the drive coupling stripped (no splines). The engine cranks fine but after i try to turn the speed control knob, the engine will not speed up and won't move. No loud clunking and banging.

Check for worn bellcranks, balljoints and such. Here is the problem with it. My jd 450b crawler/loader won't move. Most common problem on 450s is the linkage coming loose that connects the mechical clutch pedal to the trans.
