Please help me if you can my 1010 wont stay running. Not working on the 8n or jubilee today so thought i'd tackle the neighbours lawn tractor. If the cap doesn't allow air in as fuel is used the pump can starve for fuel.

Just had the pump done, maybe someone can tell me what to do. Sometimes it will stay running a bit longer if i mess with the choke, down. Sounds like your fuel cap is not venting properly.

My 2305 just quit on me. It sounds like that could be an explanation of why the tractor starts and runs fine once the engine warms up. I have a john deere 4010 with a rebuilt injector pump. My 310c has recently developed a problem.

Almost like it's not getting fuel, but i can see flow through my. The seat switch is in the safety wiring circuit and one which often goes bad. When it is started for the first time (it's cold) it will start and run for 30 seconds. Bypass the seat switch and try it.
My problem is it starts but dies after 30 seconds or so. Thought it could be the diesel transfer pump so replaced it along with checking/cleaning fuel. The gas caps on these mowers deteriorate dropping rubber diaphragm parts into the gas tank that then stop up the fuel pickup. When i turn the key the lights that usually come on durring the glow plug process dont come on.
