Has ruger ever discontinued calibers for the no. Talked about ruger and the no. I see the most recent catalog has each variant available in only a single caliber.

1 was discontinued years ago.
Lipsey will no longer be the exclusive no. The ruger no.1 rifle is not discontinued and is planned to be in the 2017 production. Three or four years ago they stopped standard production of the no.1. The ruger collectors' association will be quick to point out that the ruger no.
I just received an email from chris killoy, the ruger president, that the ruger no.1 is not discontinued and is planned to be in the production lineup for 2017. One of the foremost experts on the ruger number one posted on another forum that he got a call from ruger's president telling him that the number one is not being. I was on the ruger website and noticed the #1 in stainless is discontinued. Better get them while they are low!

Now they pick a caliber or two every year for a limited production run and that's your choice/s for that.
According to him they are discontinued and they're only going to make them for lipseys. Instead, ruger will be selling direct and only doing limited production runs of the no.1 for the foreseeable future. Ruger has had the same 3 or 4 models of no 1 on their website for quite some time, and new ones are never on gb or anywhere else. There was a large number of no.1's that were recently made and not 2016 build and many of those were highly discounted. 1 will continue in production. Went into my gunsmiths shop yesterday. Everyone but ruger has discussed discontinuing the no.1 for quite a number of years. Unless something has changed, the no. Fyi, one of the yahoo group posters reported (yesterday) that during a phone conversation with ruger factory, he was told that the no.
There is, however, confusion over the 50th anniversary of the ruger no. 1 to cease production in the next ten years or so, as has happened with many other high end single shot falling block hunting rifles such as the. Ruger has occasionally discontinued certain calibers for the no.
