I am in this same boat, just got my dwh at 1959 kc last night. I plan on going 'out of my way' to get a bgs but getting a dwh purely from slayer tasks. The element of surprise is always ideal, therefore you should have 83 defense, it won't be effective but it would be the. I did a mixture of camping one spawn at the canyon, cannoning two spots, and finally only doing them on slayer task.

Whats the best way to grind dwh? Find out where it is good for pvm,. If you do team raids. My advice would be to do it on slayer task when you can for now, you might get lucky.
