Firstly, the acting in this show is horrid, i don’t know how netflix got away with casting 25+ year old adults as 16 year olds but i comes across as extremely cringe for 90% of the show. As a generation unhappily addicted to media and digital content, “outer banks” gives us a taste of the teenage freedom we’ve never truly known. As someone who grew up in a hierarchal rich/poor society, it is not shocking to me at all that the police automatically believe the rich, popular man.
I can see an r rating for drug use and violence, but the ma seems over the top.
But let’s not imagine that it’s because of its. Know your own limits, don't let a big company tell you. Imagine how much money that. Read outer banks reviews from kids and teens on common sense media.

Anyone who had been hooked to 2000s teen tv soap drama like the oc will notice striking resemblance of outer banks to these.
Age ratings are utterly useless. It is, at best, an average offering, which might seem better because of the desperate times that we currently find. Plots gotta plot😂there’s no way they were letting the main characters get the gold or cross.
